Strong Women Hard Yarns Animated Videos

This project is the production of two animated videos for the “Strong Women, Hard Yarns” resources for the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research. I’m extremely excited to Direct and Produce this project - from sound recording and mixing, to character and prop design, the complete animation compositions, as well as supporting graphics.

The videos are scheduled for completion and launch by mid 2021.

The Strong Women, Hard Yarns animations have been commissioned by the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research, and funded by the Queensland Government and CQ University.

The team at the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research on the CQUniversity Mackay worked throughout 2020 and 2021 with Celese on the development of two animated video projects. During that time, we were inspired by her enthusiasm and commitment to the task. Her patience, creativity and understanding with our group of diverse stakeholders as we re-created a written product into two animations was deeply appreciated. Celese was pivotal in ensuring the resources created were a success in allowing us to broadly and impactfully share our important information about violence against women and girls.
